Football Festival
a Great Success
On Saturday 18th October a football festival
held at Petre Street brought many dreams into reality,
the prospect of seeing organised team sports in our
community.
Loads of participants and spectators gathered all day,
hopefully the start of things to come (see Petre
Street through the ages).

Initiated by Patrick Edwards on behalf of BSN in conjunction
with Clinton McKoy (Black History Month) the day began
with Earl Marshall Juniors vs Wickersley Juniors followed
by Burngreave Juniors vs Birley Spa then adult matches
featuring Chinese Prowlers, Siyaya, Boyz in Reggae,
African Dreem Team and other attractions.
