Area Panel explained...

What is the Area Panel? Who is on it? What does it do? How can I get involved? Over the next few issues we hope to answer some of your questions about what the Area Panel?

Your Burngreave Area Panel is part of Sheffield City Council’s Area Action Initiative that is helping to modernise the Council.

Area Action is about:

Having your say – making sure that everyone has a chance to have their say and effect the decisions the Council makes.

Changing what we do and how we do it – improving the quality of Council services in Burngreave and making sure everyone is working together.

Making opportunities – getting new funding to do more work that will help make Burngreave a better place to live.

Burngreave Area Panel meetings are a way to helps us to do all these things. Come along and have your say. Details of the next meeting are shown on the right.

You can meet your local Area Panel Councillors to talk about any problems you have and see what they can do to help by going to their regular surgeries at:

  • Burngreave Library, Spital Hill - every Saturday 11.00 to 12.00pm
  • Firshill TARA Office, 11a Firshill Glade - Saturday 19th April 2003 from 12.15 to 1.15pm

Have your say - Next Area Panel Meetings

The dates for your next Area Panel meetings are:

  • Thursday 17th April 6.30 to 8.30pm at Pitsmoor Methodist Church. We will be talking about Burngreave’s Environment. Find out what is happening to make Burngreave a cleaner, brighter and greener and have your say on what else needs to happen.
  • Thursday 29th May 6.30 to 8.30pm at a venue to be decided. This meeting will look at issues around Education and Employment.
